Cold Day 03:28
hell is in this life what’s hard to understand lies that you’ve been sold enough to bring an end silence isn’t golden  its a vapour trail least that you can do is now beyond the pale  it’ll be a cold, cold day  before you’ll ever seen my face again its a long, long way its a long way back from where in hell you came lightning in a bottle that’s the way i am blink and you’ll regret you ever turned your back try to undermine me try to steal my land know you’ll never get the chance to make amends it’ll be a cold, a cold day  before you’ll ever seen my face again its a long, a long way its a long way back from where in hell you came no i can’t find a reason why no i can’t see a way out of this mire where’re you going to run to where’re you going to hide ain’t no higher ground  to keep your faith alive failed to see it coming failed to read the signs won’t be fooled again no won’t be pacified  it’ll be a cold, cold day  before you’ll ever seen my face again its a long, a long way its a long way back from where in hell you came it’ll be a cold, cold day  before you’ll ever seen my face again it’ll be a long, a long way its a long way back from where in hell you came

don’t want to believe it that something might’ve changed an end to the republic democracy displaced
waiting on a new day say it won’t be long driving down the freeway singing songs with tom
hell no that i know its a long way down and i ain’t buying if we’re going down  we’re going down  we’re gonna go down fighting
said that it was darkest  right before the dawn morning in America which side are you on?
stars and stripes are burning the flag is upside down no time for navel gazing vote out the orange clown
hell no that i know its a long way down and i ain’t lying if we’re going down  we’re going down  we’re gonna go down fighting
hell no that i know its a long way down and i ain’t lying if we’re going down  we’re going down  we’re gonna go down fighting we’re gonna go down fighting we’re gonna go we’re gonna go down fighting

i felt the news like a punch in the gut walked off the tears took death to find god but i refuse to settle for anything less than i’m due  less than I am i remember it well a sky of shimmering blue it coloured my thoughts it brought me to you but i confused the means with the hangman’s noose i predicted the fall but i still followed through say what you will to the year left behind i followed the rules  all it lost me was time so who’ll take the blame when there’s no where to hide  if everyone has a price why have i been so blind now denial plays its hand and the ace sees your queen you use your words to defuse what could never be seen but once again the answer is far from clear and the path that you walk will be the path that they fear so rest these bones to which the year’s been unkind i followed the crows  i followed your lies say what you will i’ve only good things to say you might be blind but i might be as well

Inside Out 04:14
ain’t got the time to pretend tired of playing the same old games i just want to see where it ends and if we’re living the same old lies you can paint your portraits  and draw your lines in the sand they may think that you walk on water but i’ve seen the shake in your hands   been turned inside out now there’s only one way  to kill all the doubt  maybe i should’ve tried it you say forgive and forget  try to keep on moving forward eyes in the front of your head and that’s, for a, damn good reason i wouldn’t cross the street to piss on them if they were on fire my scars are the scars i keep to remind me not to keep quiet been turned inside out now there’s only one way  to kill all the doubt  maybe i should’ve tried it maybe life is a running joke maybe the joke is on me maybe i was meant to be  something other than free been turned inside out now there’s only one way  to kill all the doubt  maybe i should’ve tried it inside out now there’s only one way  to kill all the doubt  maybe i should’ve tried it

can’t really shake it this hollow feeling like something’s different like something’s missing call off the battle it ain’t worth bleeding  its only money better days are coming  we can dig for diamonds if that’s the way you want to play the game if nothing lasts forever  we may as well dance in the rain  i’m a survivor  walking a wire not going to waste time on second chances  came here with nothing i’ll leave you with this for free don’t waste time on second chances back in the heartland  storm’s been brewing can’t say i recognise where we’re going burnt all the bridges still the fire smoulders if its only business why are you running  we can’t face our demons by turning into what we fear if everything’s a lesson then cut the noise and try to hear i’m a survivor  walking a wire not going to waste time on second chances  came here with nothing i’ll leave you with this for free don’t waste time on second chances no they’ll never see it the hate that you’ve been breeding until its too late  too late for healing  until its too late i’m a survivor  walking a wire not going to waste time on second chances  came here with nothing i’ll leave you with this for free don’t waste time on second chances

Thinking ‘bout my past missteps Lessons that were cast as lead Nothing ventured nothing gained All the veiled and empty threats Learning nothing comes of it Not today never again Everybody wants a piece of me Why won’t anyone just let me be Everybody wants a piece of me Chasing darkness in my mind Reaching for the other side Cut my teeth sharpen my knife Every chance to make it right Instead you chose to bleed me dry And now you circle just the same  Everybody wants a piece of me Why won’t anyone just let me breathe Everybody wants a piece of me Old enough to know the game Wise enough to start again Didn’t read the warning signs Tasted fruit from all the vines Makes no difference once it spreads Forget about the wolves and sheep Instinct to protect the weak No one will help you but yourself Everybody wants a piece of me Why won’t anyone just let me be Why won’t anyone just let me breathe Why won’t anyone

daylight bleeds across the water nothing lost can find a way back home colour drains from the face of a father’s daughter every day is yours and yours alone instinct never fails to find an answer even when she sings her siren song sugar coating shit won’t save your future when there’s always something more that could be done
if you’re going to run best be gone before daylight if you’re going to run best be gone before I change my mind tidal waves can’t wash away the anger trust is not something that can be won victory is to cause you pain and watch you linger even you can’t right the wrong you’ve done if you’re going to run best be gone before daylight if you’re going to run best be gone before i change mind

waiting for darkness watching shadows on the wall doesn’t mean anything at all when you’re all alone and all you can say is there’s got to be a better way the infamy you crave is nothing but a noose wherever you are i will keep you here wherever you are before we disappear you can say you love me but we both know the truth your love was just abuse and nothing i could use and you and your martyrs burning candles in the dark maybe words would be a start maybe we’re all fools wherever you are i will keep you here wherever you are before we disappear wherever you are i will keep you here wherever you are before we disappear

Is It You 04:34
born and bred in the mother city between the dead of night and dawn still smell the salt of the waves that i saw crashing from the balcony at number four
down by the blue train i remember smell of supper on the summer breeze getting caught in a south easter doctor doctor tell me please… is it you or is it me? is it you or is it me? i’m only trying to find my free if it’s too hard to be me is it you or is it me? I’m all for forgiveness But I’ve never found comfort in denial  sometimes a lie will bear retelling others might best be buried for a while down by the blue train i remember smell of supper on the summer breeze getting caught in a south easter doctor doctor tell me please… is it you or is it me? is it you or is it me? i’m only trying to find my free if it’s too hard to be me is it you or is it me? now time has run and reason is ignorant of the damage that was done if i could only have a moment i’d try to savour what i had before its gone down by the blue train i remember see you standing in the summer breeze getting caught in a south easter doctor doctor tell me please… is it you or is it me? is it you or is it me? i’m only trying to find my free if it’s too hard to be me is it you or is it me?

i’ve been waiting on the world to end long time coming but it didn’t fool you  only fooled me my friend no one confessing no one to blame rain down honey let it rain all day god stopped listening to me a long time ago high on the mountain  people look like ants  sick and tired of the same old show come down satan only hell awaits dead men rapping at the pearly gates don’t say you’re early when you know you’re late better beg forgiveness than ask permission no time like the present to start an insurrection ain’t a waste if you learnt something but who am i to judge i’d rather drink to life than lose my touch think you’ve passed the point of no return   i remember every lie and thread and most of all the way you turned  learnt my lesson ‘bout bad advice i hope that you can sleep at night yeah i hope that you can sleep at night i hope that you can sleep
